Hi, is there a way to have the category or CSV filter typeable like data validation in Excel? As in, you start typing something and it starts narrowing down the selection categories? Also, is there a smart search filter? One that will find "process improvement" if the phrase "improve a process" was typed?

    Thanks!

    Hello Corey Niemeyer,

It is not possible to achieve what you desire for the moment. Our filters work exactly like it is described in this article.

However, you can suggest these new features in our feature request platform.

    Thank your understanding.

Hi, I have a question on how it might be possible to use Google Material Design for the filter dropdowns? I have included the css path but I am not sure how you can update the template for the filters and use the material classes. Is this possible?

    Thank you,

    Joe

    Hello Joe,

Unfortunately it is not possible to change the html of the filters, so an external css will not do the trick.

You could however inspect the html of the filter using the developers console and apply some style to the relevant classes in your template file. However the html of the filters can be changed by our team in the future, so we do not promote these type of modifications.

    Regards,

    Nicolas

Hello - We are trying to apply the logical AND operator to a csvFilter, but can't get this to work. Even when we've tried using the ListType element this doesn't seem to allow us to basically combine the AND logic of a category filter with the list recognition of a csvFilter. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello Thaun,

The csvFilter can only be used as it is described in the example above. If you want to combine multiple csvFilter, I suggest you use dependents filters (see this link).

If you still experience this issue, you can create a ticket that will allow us to solve your problem.

    Thank you for your understanding.

I am new at this, I am trying to use the template "People Directory" but I cannot find any information on how the photos work.  Where and how do I save the photo's for the spreadsheet so that they will show up?

    Thank you for your help,

    Penny

    Awesome Table

    Hello Island Movie Productions,

I suggest you create a ticket if you need information that is not related to a specific article.

For the People directory template, the images are hosted in a website, then we stock them in a specific column in the spreadsheet (see the screenshot below).

Finally, you just need to call this column in your template sheet (see the screenshot below).

Actually, if you are a new user, it would be better for you to consult our tutorial to understand the logical and the concept of Awesome Table template. In this way, you will be able to build your own template or customize the actual template from our template gallery.

    Thank you for your understanding.

The year in my date filter scroll bar is still a default 12/31/1969. Why isn't it changing?

    Hello Orly Tandazo,

Can you make sure that you have no date that goes back to the 12/31/1969 in your data set?

Otherwise could you please create a ticket (button on the top of the page) so we can help you solve this.

Loving the Awesome Tables so far! I'm trying to add a Time Filter. I'm not seeing one here. Should I re-purpose another filter that would work with times (using am and pm)?

Indeed, we don't have yet a time filter but you can propose this idea in our feature request.

    Thank you.

    Hello Melanie Ilseman,

I'm not sure to understand your request.

As it is described in this article, it is definitely possible to use a categoryFilter for your Awesome Table view. All our available filters are in this article.

    Kind regards.

    Hello,

For now, it is not possible to access the categoryFilter without a mouse but we are working on it to make the product accessible for everyone. However, it necessities investigation and we can not communicate on a precise date.

    Thank you for your understanding.

Is it possible to choose a default value for a Category Filter?  For example, I have a spreadsheet listing assets in multiple languages, English, French, German, etc.  So I have a column in my spreadsheet with languages. Users will be able to filter results based on language.  However, most users are going to want a list of only English language assets. Is there a way for me to set the Filter so English is already pre-checked (chosen), so then only the few users who need other languages will need to adjust the language filter? I'm trying to avoid having users check English in the category filter every time.

    Hello Angela York,

You can definitely achieve that with Awesome Table. I suggest you use a pre-filtered URL and you should consult this article.

    Kind regards.

    Hello Nick Garcia,

If you use the csvFilter, it is mandatory to use a comma. But you can't transform these data in a string.

    Kind regards.

is it possible to make the filters relative to all sections. meaning if I select a couple items in one field it will show results of items selectable in other fields. that way when selecting items in various cell wont show "no items"
