    HI @Henning.

You can easily exclude null values from ever displaying on your view by using a where clause with a specified criterion. Please reference our informative Query article (focus on Task # 13) to achieve your goal.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks Randy

But it does not quite get me there..
    Sharing Example: https://awesome-table.com/-LimW9QNqGObKL5o0w3i/view...

    Trying to achieve:

    • highest or lowest values to bes sorted at top for month of selection
    • cells without values "null values" always will be sorted at the button.
    • cells without values ( are NOT to be removed form the view (until the month sort is done

    Hi @Henning.

Apologies for the confusion. I assumed you wanted me to choose from this:

    • Any hints on how to discard null-values when sorting ( or always sort null-values at the bottom )

And based on that specification, I gathered that you only needed 1 clause to achieve your desired end result, hence recommending Task # 13. In your follow up, it's now clear that you have 3 criteria that need to be met.

I will examine your datasheet and ask for clarification on the new requirements you've mentioned below:

    • highest or lowest values to bes sorted at top for month of selection
    • cells without values "null values" always will be sorted at the button.
    • cells without values ( are NOT to be removed form the view (until the month sort is done

    Hi again, @Henning.

Please check the screenshot below if that's what you're trying to achieve.

Below are my notes on your requirements:

    • highest or lowest values to bes sorted at top for month of selection
      - The sorting can only be done on the Awesome Table editor's Query field (ascending or descending).

    • cells without values "null values" always will be sorted at the button.
      - Awesome Table doesn't have a sorting button functionality on its view.

    • cells without values ( are NOT to be removed form the view (until the month sort is done
      - I don't fully understand this one.

    * Please note that since your datasheet is in tabular format, there will be dependencies on other columns and the sorting and exclusion of cells (or rows) with null values will be affected. If you're looking for a monthly breakdown for each person that's sorted (i.e., names - march, names - april, names - may, ...), this feature is not supported by Awesome Table as it is more of a reporting tool or dashboard functionality.
