In this article, you will learn how to create a Google Sheets datasource compatible with Awesome Table by filling it out properly using a prescribed format.
1 - Create a new Google Sheet
To create a new Google Sheet you need to go to your Google Drive, click on New and then Google Sheets.
2 - Open an existing Google Sheet
If you already have a Google Sheets datasource created, right click on it > Open with > Google Sheets.
3 - Fill out your spreadsheet
To use Awesome Table, you need to make a Google Sheets datasource compatible with Awesome Table by filling it out properly using a prescribed format.
4 - Share your Google Sheet
Use the standard sharing settings available in Google Spreadsheet to share it to:
- specific people,
- everyone in a domain
- everyone in the world.
not_interested People won't be able to see your Awesome Table view if they don’t have permission to access your data within Google Sheets. If your view is on a publicly accessible website, we recommend setting the sharing settings to "Anyone with the link".
